OCTOBER WOMEN’S GATHERING
Thursday, October 15: 10 am – 12:30 pm
BLESSED ARE THE PEACEMAKERS: Matthew 5:9 The Sermon on the Mount
What passes from generation to generation is a scared trust. Ties that hold generations together over time are precious and fragile. We need to nurture them.
Women have always been peacemakers in families and communities. Today we want to also recognize women as “PIECEMAKERS”. Women made quilts, clothing, embroidery, and lace.
We need to recognize ourselves as co-creators -using our own creativity and talents given to us by God. We need to share the talents we have inherited and gain appreciation of other women’s gifts -especially those of our ancestors.
Have you been given a keepsake from your grandmother or mother? Do you have something to pass along to children, grandchildren, or a friend. Are you a piece maker, poet, artist, or have a favorite Bible verse or hobby?
Please join us at the October Women’s Gathering to share and celebrate our ancestors and our heritage.
